I chose to do a vintage style Mothers Day card, using the scraps I had left from the "Times Gone By" challenge. The criteria for this challenge was to do a vintage style layout about an aspect of our past and also to include an embellishment cluster and ribbon. I scrapped a LO using a pic of mum when she was a girl. Here is my LO...

I have now completed all the challenges for the SBT50 "Reflections" Cyber Crop...YAY! The last two I did were the "Reflecting in the Post" challenge, where we had to make a card inspired by the word "reflection". Here is my card...

I have just completed challenge 5 for the Scrap Soup comp over at Scrapability. The criteria for this one was to use a sketch provided, masking, pearls, 2 or more different coloured pps, the colour blue, a stamp. Here is my LO...

Cyber Crop Layouts!
Two more challenges completed for the SBT50 "Reflections" Cyber Crop! The first layout was for the "What About You?" challenge. For this challenge we had to use a self-portrait pic, include 5 random facts about ourselves and the title had to be "At __" (our current age). I had fun with this LO, and decided that I definitely needed to use some of my fave scrappy things for this one (pink, those Thickers & Bo Bunny pps, denim, epoxy brad, staples, Spritz spray...I managed to get lots of my faves on there...LOL). Here is the LO...
The second one I completed was for the "It Was Important to Me..." challenge, set by Vicki. For this challenge we had to scrap about an important event in our lives and include at least 100 words of journalling. I scrapped about Brielle's birth and wrote my journalling in the form of a letter to her, telling her all about her (surprise) arrival. I used Fancy Pants pps for this LO and also included a yummy gardenia flower from My2Angels and a super cute angel wings embellishment that I got a while ago from the gorgeous Vicki...thanks Vick! :-)

Cyber Crop Challenge Layout!
I have finally managed to complete my first challenge for the Scrapbooking Top 50 "Reflections" Cyber Crop. This one was set by Anthea (our guest DT member), and is called "Mirror, Mirror...". For this challenge we had to scrap a photo of someone looking in a mirror, and include bling, distressing and buttons. (Luckily, I already had an old pic of Brielle here I could scrap.) Here is my LO...
I am soooo loving using neutral backgrounds right now - hence the recent run of black, white & Kraft! Also, see the yummy little flowers...the hydrangea and the lily? You can get them from My2Angels! ;-)

Another Scrap Soup Layout...
Well Scrapability's "Scrap Soup" comp continues, and our latest challenge was to create a layout using white pen, black cardstock, journalling strips, stamping, a shipping tag, distressing, 5 x 7 pic and the twist was it had to be about a pet! I used a pic I took when I was doing photography at school (one that I even developed myself in the darkroom!) of our Cocker Spaniel, who was with our family for many years. Here is my LO...
I included the journalling strips on a hidden journal tag that I tucked behind the photo...

My Little Gilligan!
Here's another layout I recently completed, this is my March entry for the Whats Old Is New "Year in Review" challenge. I couldn't wait to scrap this photo and the little story that goes with it, because it was just such a funny moment. In case you can't read the journalling, it talks about how my DD discovered she could reach her chest of drawers from her cot and how one night she got this hat out, put it on, and fell asleep wearing it. (Which happened quite a few nights after this until I moved her cot!) Her dad immediately said she looked like "Gilligan", hence the name of the layout.
My Cyber Crop Challenge!
There are now 4 challenges that have been posted for the SBT50 "Reflections" Cyber Crop and the latest one is "When You're Shining", which is mine. My reflections challenge is based around materials, so you have to create a layout that includes alfoil, bling, glitter and the word "shine". Here's my example...(finally something I can share!)
There are still 2 more challenges to come and the ones posted so far are all very different, so there is sure to be something to get your mojo going! Why not pop by the forum and check it out? We'd love to have you!

Some Exciting News!
No scrapping to share, but a quick bit of exciting news to share instead...after having had one of my cards accepted for publication by Scrapbook Creations a few weeks ago I have now also had a layout accepted by Scrapbooking Memories! YAY! I am so glad I pulled my finger out and started subbing some stuff...once I actually see it in print, it will be another thing I can tick off my list of goals for this year!

My April Monthly Challenge!
1st of the month, so that means the new monthly challenges are up at Scrapbooking Top 50! This month my challenge to everyone is to scrap a layout sized 8.5 x 11", to use an "imperfect' photo & distress it, include handwritten journalling and doodling.
Here's my LO...
Here's my LO...
Can you see the yummy embellishments from my2angels on this LO? There are cream mulberry paper hydrangeas, mulberry paper leaves, stemmed star flowers, embossed felt heart and a miniature postcard! All available in the store NOW!
You can also check out the other challenges on offer from the SBT50 DT this month HERE
Scrapability LO and News!
Just thought I would share the latest layout I completed for the "Scrap Soup" comp over at Scrapability. The criteria for this challenge was to use the August sketch # 2, use 3 colours from a list provided (I chose black, white & blue), distress & doodle on pics, one word title, rub-ons, include a quote, and LO could not be about family / loved ones.
Here's my take on the criteria...
In other news, the new DT members for Scrapability have been announced. Congrats to Lis, Deb, Bridge & Nene!!! (I will add their blog links in the sidebar later so you can stop by and check out their work!)

April Already???
March just seemed to fly by didn't it? I can't believe how fast this year is going - this month will see my baby girl turn 2!!! Anyway, here's some more stuff from March. The first LO is one I did for SBT50's March guest DT member Chantal's "Random Challenge". The challenge was to use Chantal's technique for altering paper with paint and then create a LO with it. I am so happy with how my paper came out (yummy colour!) and will definitely be doing this with more from my "crappy paper stash"...LOL
The next LO is one I completed for Vicki's Monthly Challenge. Vicki's challenge to everyone was to use a technique or style that we hadn't before, so I chose to do a totally untried style for me - I call it "freestyle collage", and it is a style that guest DT Chantal excels at. (I will say one thing though, as easy as you may think it looks, it really isn't!) So here is the end result...
PS - How DIVINE is the blue gardenia flower? You can get them from my2angels HERE (there are lots of colours!)
The last LO is one that I am not really happy with, but thought I would put it up here anyway (so you can all point and stare...LOL). This LO was for the "We Dare You" Challenge, where SBT50 members were invited to set a challenge for the DT. The criteria we ended up with was to use no pps (!), tissue paper, circles and staples. I used the tissue paper to make some roses and they are my favourite part of this LO...
