D-lish Scraps August Layouts

Hi all! Wow! I don't know about you guys, but it's been a craaaazy month here, so much happening! Last day of the month, so I thought  better do a recap of my D-lish Scraps projects for the month.

First up, is this layout featuring a candid photo of Brielle and I...

{Papers by Amy Tan; Dear Lizzy and Pretty Little Studio}

Some of the D-lish items I used included some Kit Bits from the previously released 'Peach Kisses' Just Add Paper kit. I used all the pieces from the Journal Pack, along with one of the coordinating Flair Buttons. There is also a paper doily in dove grey; a white Forget Me Not and an apricot Magnolia

I used a second journal spot and apricot Magnolia on my layout, but this time paired it with a white Wildflower. I also added some D-lish Dots (from the Ombre Orange pack).

The final centrepiece flower I used on my layout was a stunning Green Tara Azalea in Blush. Tucked in beside it is a white Lilly and a gorgeous Wood Veneer Deer, along with more D-lish Dots and grey doily.

The second layout I created was my take on this month's 'Two Hearts' Inspiration Board challenge. Here is the board I was working with...

And here is my layout...

{Papers by Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Shimelle for American Crafts; and Echo Park}

I pulled this photo of Brielle at the beach from the vault, and used lots of D-lish goodies from my stash.
In the cluster pictured below I used a silver foil paper doily'Hello' wood veneer (which I lightly inked with white ink); washi tapesglitter washi tape; and a tab from a Journal Its pack.

Here again is more silver doily; washi tapes; another Journal It; and a gorgeous big pink Freckled Fawn paper clip.

Also used this layout was a flair button from the 'Which Way Words' set; a pink polka dot heart button; and a wood veneer heart (which I also inked with white ink).

Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget that today is your last chance to play along with the current Inspiration Board challenge if you haven't already. Up for grabs is a huge $30 store voucher to one lucky winner, and also next month's new release Just Add Paper kit to another.
I will be back to share my other D-lish Scraps project with you soon.
Til next time, happy scrapping!

Hello 4 for Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi all! I am here today sharing a layout I created recently using the Hello Lovely collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. For this one, I decided to showcase some of the pretty pinks and gorgeous flowers from the collection...

The papers I used on this layout were DelightfulConfettiFlower Patch; and Lucky Dip. Alongside those, I used plenty of Die Cut Ephemera pieces and a pink paper doily from D-lish Scraps.

Scattered around my layout are several of the Hello Lovely Blooms (these are so pretty!), as well as a couple of arrow shaped Lucky Charms. (These charms would be great on boy layouts too!)

Of course, I couldn't go past including one of the Flair Buttons from the collection. (I think I am seriously addicted to flair, almost every one of my layouts features them! LOL)

Last but not least, I added a pink and white striped Bitty Bow. These bows are seriously cute and each pack includes eight of them! (Two each of four different designs.)

If you haven't got your hands on any Hello Lovely goodness yet, pop over to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio store HERE and check out the special offer on the ENTIRE collection! That's right - it includes all the papers AND all the embellishments...scrappy heaven! (There is also an offer for the equally fabulous boy-themed collection Made of Awesome.)
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you are having a super scrappy Saturday! X

Show Us Your Stuff August Challenge!

Hello again friends! I'm back today with another share for you, this time it's my take on the August challenge at Show Us Your Stuff. This month it is a gorgeous mood board that looks like this...

Being a fan of Dr Suess, I couldn't go past the quote as my main inspiration, so I decided to create a Suess-themed layout. (The cute photo is my own Thing 1 and Thing 2 at their first birthday party.)

{Papers by Bo Bunny; Echo Park}

I haven't scrapped a layout quite this bold and bright for some time, and getting back to it was lots of fun! As always, when using a mix of such bold patterns I kept the embellishments to a minimum...

 {Felt bow and flair from D-lish Scraps; stickers by Echo Park;
alphas by AdornIt; Cosmo Cricket; Sam & Lucy Weave Extras}

This month's sponsor of SUYS is Charms Creations, so I couldn't go past including a Charms embellie on there as my handmade embellishment. This gorgeous lollipop came from the depths of my stash and was perfect for my theme...

I hope I have inspired you to play along with us this month, I love to see my friends names amongst the entries! You have until midnight, 31st August to link your entry up on the blog to be in the running for the prize from Charms Creations. Get scrapping! :)

Scrap the Boys August Challenge!

Hi all! Yes, it's that time again - start of the month and time to share my first challenge reveal with you all. First up this month, is the challenge at Scrap the Boys.
Here is this month's challenge theme...

This month you are allowed to include photos of mums & sons, so I thought I would take the opportunity to scrap myself with my littlest (by 2 mins!) boy...

As you can see, I was partly inspired by the quote, but also by the colour of the image. I dug into my Cocoa Vanilla Studio stash for this one, and used lots of "Flying High" and "Sugar & Spice" goodies to create it.

Papers, stickers, alphas, cork stars and wood veneer shapes all by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. Flair, paper doiley, journal spot, twine and washi tapes all from D-lish Scraps.

I am so happy I scrapped this photo of us together. A pic with just the two of us very rarely happens (especially one where he is actually looking at the camera AND smiling!)
I hope I have inspired you to play along with us at Scrap the Boys. You have until the end of the month to get your entries linked up on the blog.
Happy scrapping! X
